Prior to ONLY the BEST having established a specialised disability staffing recruitment offering as the premier provider to the South African marketplace, much research was done to understand how to successfully integrate candidates with disabilities into the workplace. It became evident that a full value chain was to be created from the onset of the sourcing of the candidate, to the employment of the candidate and finally to managing the productivity and creating meaningful work for candidates with disabilities.
Together with the stringent targets of 2% having to be met on the BBBEE scorecard, ONLY the BEST heeded the call to action. ONLY the BEST Learnerships, Internships and Disability staffing division have been committed from the onset to assisting our clients in achieving your employment equity requirements successfully by developing customised and flexible recruitment strategies, resulting in the increased number of employment opportunities available to people with disabilities.
ONLY the BEST investigated the reasons for candidates with disabilities not remaining in their place of employ and the fundamental reason was due to a lack of support given to employees with disabilities.
This resulted in our Learnership, Internship and Disability team designing a bespoke PREPARE-EMPLOY-SUPPORT methodology to drive the successful incorporation of candidates with disabilities
